Rolling out the Green Carpet

With the 2022 growing season well underway, our vines are steadily growing and berries are just beginning to form. It’s an exciting time in the vineyards as we set the stage for harvest.

This week, our vineyard crew is leaf pulling at our Riverbend Vineyard in Yountville. In this process, leaves are removed around the fruit clusters to give the grapes sufficient sun exposure early in the growth cycle. This process also improves air flow, makes the vines less susceptible to disease, and improves the overall wine quality.

Growing conditions have been great so far, and we’re looking forward to a promising harvest season!
