Earth Day & Olive Trees

Happy Earth Day!  

In our first ever weekly update, Olav showed us the beginnings of a major landscaping project, focused on replanting trees and other vegetation on our estate with more drought-tolerant species. This project will help us continue to reduce our water usage and make sure this land is taken care of for the next generation and beyond. 

This week, we’re beginning to see the first results of those replanting efforts, starting with a relocation of five 50-year old olive trees from the far reaches of our property. Soon, we’ll have new shaded spaces available for our guests at the Hirondelle House, where you can enjoy a glass or bottle of Clos du Val on a sunny afternoon. We hope to see you here this season, and can’t wait to share more of our sustainability efforts across all facets of Clos du Val.
